I grew up right here in Vacaville, and these days home is five quiet acres I share with my husband and kids, along with our sheep, chickens, and a garden that keeps me grounded. There’s something about caring for a piece of land — the early mornings, the small daily work — that taught me what people really mean when they say they’re longing for room to breathe.
